Hi Everyone,
Studying abroad is an enriching and formative experience, but not every UT student can do it. Fortunately, this constraint doesn’t have to limit their education. Today, more than thirty UT faculty members have taught global classrooms using virtual exchange to promote global learning. Virtual exchange, sometimes called “Collaborative Online Learning” (COIL) is a growing field for both teaching and research. One of the many benefits of global learning through virtual exchange is access. In virtual exchange classrooms, UT students collaborate with their peers from around the world in a mutually beneficial relationship that engages them with new perspectives and prepares them for a globally connected world. The UT community is celebrating these and its many other global initiatives during International Education Week, on Nov. 18 - 22.
The Provost’s Teaching Fellows and Faculty Innovation Center are also offering a Think Tank and Workshop on Global Learning with Virtual Exchange:
Thursday, November 14, 11am – 12:30pm FIC workshop in SZB 450AF: “Global Learning with Virtual Exchange”

The workshop aims to provide information about global learning at UT and highlight useful resources for interested faculty. You can find more information and register for this session here.

This workshop will be an introduction to experiential learning and discuss different ways it has been included in courses here at UT. You can find more information and RSVP for the session here.
Tuesday, November 12, 11am - 12:30pm PTF Experiential Learning Think Tank in SZB 450AF
