To get the semester started off right, make plans for UPC’s grand semester kick off — Eagle Insomnia: Snowy Escape — from 7 to 11 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15. Dedicated spaces throughout the University Union and Library Mall will be decked out for students to participate in activities such as a Silent Disco, karaoke and cozy crafts!
And don’t forget to check out the annual Mean Green Spring Fling from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 14, in the University Union. It’s a great way to learn about the more than 450 student organizations on campus and how you can get involved!

As you settle into your new semester routine, here are a couple of important traffic updates to be aware of:
|
-
Highland Street is officially open to regular traffic once again. With vehicles back on that roadway, pedestrians and cyclists need to stay alert and always look both ways before crossing the street. Pedestrians should use the marked crosswalks.
-
DCTA buses have moved back to Union Circle. If you rely on campus transit, be sure to plan a few extra minutes to adjust to these pick-up and drop-off locations.

As campus activity picks up, a little extra awareness goes a long way in keeping everyone safe. Follow UNT Transit on X and Instagram for updates.

To honor one of America’s most influential figures, campus will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. There will be no classes.
