When Students Move On,
Their Accounts Do Too
If you work with students graduating this year, make sure any files they created are stored in Google shared drives or a Box Group account.
Once their NetID is deactivated (60 days after graduation), you risk losing access to those files and folders not moved to either of these locations.
Additionally, more than 35k inactive student accounts will be deleted on June 6 as part of the new account lifecycle process.

Achieve Good Password Hygiene
Try using a passphrase instead of a password. For example, instead of Pizza100, try a phrase like “iLovePizzaX100”
Don't share with strangers OR friends |
Keep your passwords to yourself, do not share with anyone.
Do not reuse passwords across multiple accounts. Each account you have should have its own unique password.
When in doubt, change it out! |
Avoid infection! If you're concerned about a potential password compromise, change it out! Make sure your new password meets relevant strength standards.

Don't Let Updates Catch You Off Guard
A pop-up will appear on your managed ND computer when an update is needed. If you don't take the opportunity to update on your own terms, you may be knocked offline while your computer pushes the update automatically.
