Find Your Voice in Academic English: A Writing Workshop Sept. 20th, 5 - 6:30 pm (Virtual)
Registration is required; space is limited. Register here! Dr.Kari Hensley, Director of the Steinhardt Writing Center
Learning a new language means learning to think and express oneself in that language, which comes along with a whole new culture that you also need to learn about. Expressing yourself in writing, especially in a second language other than your native language can be difficult, and it can be even more challenging to try to write within the confines of academic writing. This workshop/info session will provide guidelines for the ins and outs of academic writing, focusing on the common challenges faced by EAL students trying to navigate through this process. It will also detail how the Steinhardt Writing Center can provide assistance in your academic journey. Come bearing questions, and we will discuss how to get to the answers.
