Ephesians Recitation Challenge |
Each year, Mrs. Martin challenges 6th graders to cap off their time in Grammar School by reciting the entire book of Ephesians. For only the second time in PCS history, two students have completed this daunting challenge (and they happen to be siblings)! Congratulations to Selah Birch and Gabriel Birch for setting an incredible example of how to hide God's Word in our hearts!

Price Jenkins: Headed to the Galapagos! |
PCS junior Price Jenkins has an incredible opportunity in store for him this summer. He has been selected to participate in the Houston Zoo Teen Programs Galápagos International Adventure Program! Along with other Houston-area teens, Price will travel to the Galapagos where he will assist with conservation efforts and tagging giant tortoises and will learn how to survey microplastics in the ocean. To be selected for this opportunity, he had to be a volunteer in good standing at the Houston Zoo for at least a year, apply, and interview. Price also applied, interviewed, and was chosen to work with the hoofstock animals at the zoo. Well done, Price!

Fourth grade teacher and golf coach Amy Haaland and her husband, Erik, have a rapidly growing family! They will add four new members to their family in 2025. Their first grandchild, Daphne, was born on Valentine's Day to parents Emily and Ethan McEwin. Their second grandchild, Calvin, was born in April to parents Elisa and Anthony Rossi (son of PCS teacher Carla Rossi!). Another granddaughter is expected in September to parents Hannah and Michael Ellis. And the Haalands are adding a new son-in-law in July when their daughter Jenna (PCS c/o 2021), who recently graduated with a BS in Nursing from Samford, marries Isaiah Haines! What an incredible year of blessings! Congratulations to the Haaland family!
