Traveling Labs from the Procurement, Travel & Card Programs Office - Concur 
On Tuesday, April 23, the Procurement, Travel & Card Programs will be hosting a ‘Traveling Lab’ covering Concur, Stony Brook’s web-based travel expense reimbursement platform. Topics include header, itinerary, lodging and meal requirements. Light snacks will be provided, and we encourage anyone who plans to travel this year to sign up

April Book and Food Drives
Beta Alpha Psi (accounting & finance honors organization) is running a book drive and food drive during the month of April. The book drive will support Book Fairies, which collects and distributes books to those in need across LI and NYC. The food drive will support Island Harvest. Collection bins are located outside of Harriman 109.

Crip Camp: Disability Justice in ActionFilm Screening and Panel Discussion
April 16, 2024, 5:30 – 9:00 pm @MART Auditorium and Atrium, Stony Brook University Hospital (also hosted virtually). Join us and gain a deeper understanding of disability justice, the historical context of the disability rights movement, and how you can advance disability justice in your personal experience and professional practice. Summer 2024 Kids Cooking and Nutrition Workshop

The Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine presents a Cooking and Nutrition Workshop for kids ages 8-10.  Kids will harvest produce directly from our rooftop farm and use the vegetables to prepare healthy and delicious recipes. They'll learn kitchen safety and etiquette, how to read and follow recipes, and how to make and enjoy healthy meals. Registration is open now!  Classes fill up quickly so don’t wait. Questions? Cirque Flip Fabrique presents BLIZZARD at Staller Center Main Stage
This Saturday, April 13, at 8 pm, internationally renowned Cirque troupe FLIP Fabrique brings its newest show, BLIZZARD, to Staller! BLIZZARD will take the stage by storm, promising its audience a poetic journey through the dead of winter. Hailing from Québec City, Canada, the group’s shared dream is to create cirque shows inspired by the human experience. Cirque FLIP Fabrique dares audiences to dream, with performances that are equally as fun as they are visually stunning. Limited tickets are available here.
EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING: STONY BROOK CSA
Eat well, be well! Join the 2024 Stony Brook CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Coordinated by the Nutrition Division, CSA is a weekly fresh, organic produce farm share in collaboration with Natural Earth Organic Farms, located in Calverton.

The program starts in June and runs for 20 weeks. The cost to join is $600 ($30 per week). CSA members can pick up their produce at The Stony Brook Heights Rooftop Farm located on Level 3 of the Health Sciences Tower. The farm also offers other CSA sites across Long Island.

Additional Fruit Share: Natural Earth Farms is collaborating with Briermere Farms to offer an optional fruit share for 15 weeks. Participants will receive about four pounds of fruit per week.
