Counseling, Health, & Wellness Services
|
Moving away from home and establishing a new healthcare provider can be challenging. Counseling, Health, & Wellness Services has got you covered! We are ready to help with the transition to college life and the challenges that come with it by offering affordable, convenient, and compassionate primary care services on campus. If we can’t help you, we can refer you to an off-campus provider or specialist.
Additionally, our outreach and prevention work is responsive to the needs of the student body and current events. Last week, we provided calming and supportive election processing spaces, and this week we are focusing on healthy masculinity and men's health. Additionally, we offer monthly events for suicide prevention training and opioid/fentanyl education. We also provide substance misuse prevention education, sex education, and general well-being programming throughout the year.

“What does it mean if my student is involved in conduct proceedings?”
|
At the University of Puget Sound, the Office of Student Accountability & Restorative Practices oversees the conduct process when there are alleged violations of the Student Integrity Code. Our conduct process aims to be an educational, student-centered process that allows each student an opportunity for reflection. If a report is made regarding a potential policy violation, the director will send your student a letter inviting them to meet and discuss the situation. During this meeting, the student will have the chance to review the report and share their perspective.
The conversation typically focuses on the choices made, the impact of those choices on the community, and how to move forward in a positive way. If a student is found responsible for violating the Student Integrity Code, they may be assigned an educational sanction, which may include completing an online alcohol or drug assessment, writing a reflection paper, paying restitution, or engaging in dialogue with harmed parties.
The outcome of a conduct case is kept on record for seven years, after which it is destroyed. However, cases resulting in suspension or expulsion are retained indefinitely.
