CID Expansion Approved by Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell |
We are excited to share that all three partner cities — Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell — have now officially approved the expansion of the True North 400 Community Improvement District, with Roswell giving its final approval on December 9, 2025. This expansion brings 29 additional commercial parcels into the district, representing roughly $26.3 million in assessed value, allowing True North 400 to broaden its project reach and strengthen regional connectivity and mobility efforts.
Executive Director Kristin Winzeler highlighted that expanding the district ensures the CID can continue evolving alongside the communities it serves. Recent investments — including the Kimball Bridge Gap, Encore Greenway Park, improved transit amenities and design funding for sections of the Alpha Loop — illustrate True North 400’s commitment to thoughtful, forward-looking improvements.
With approvals now complete, True North 400 is positioned to accelerate its work across North Fulton in 2026 and beyond.

Tree Clearing Begins for the Georgia 400 Express Lanes |
If you’ve driven along GA 400 lately, you may have noticed increased tree clearing throughout the corridor. This work marks the start of “Early Works” for the Georgia 400 Express Lanes, a $4.6 billion infrastructure project that will enhance mobility, provide more reliable travel options and support long-term economic growth in our region.
Here’s what you need to know:
-
Tree clearing is occurring in phases. Crews paused work at the end of November and will resume in the spring.
- The removal creates room for new express lanes, utility relocation, safer construction zones and future grading and drainage improvements.
- No new taxpayer dollars are being used!
-
The project paves the way for the region’s planned Bus Rapid Transit line between North Springs and Windward Parkway, improving north–south connectivity for commuters.
As these early construction activities begin, True North 400 will continue to keep our community informed and engaged. The Georgia Department of Transportation also has information on the project here.

Crabapple Crossing Roundabout Redesign Moves Forward |
The City of Milton is advancing a key transportation improvement that will enhance both safety and mobility for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians traveling along SR 372/Birmingham Highway. During the November 3 City Council meeting, officials announced that the redesign of the Crabapple Crossing roundabout is officially moving into the engineering phase.
Funded through TSPLOST, the project aims to improve roadway operations around one of Milton’s most traveled corridors. Following engineering, the initiative is expected to move into right-of-way acquisition in 2028, with construction anticipated to begin in 2029.
