Hire and Pay Action Deadlines
- Spring term and March renewals and other pay actions are past due.
- For 12-month RTO renewals, the deadline is six weeks before the effective date.

Communicating early to employees whose pay might be delayed due to late submission will help avoid surprises for them on payday. We appreciate your being transparent with employees!

FYI Fridays proposals: Do you have a resource, a tool, or an experience to share? Something that would be interesting or helpful to UO faculty, staff, and graduate/student employees? We would love to hear about it. We're looking for several more presenters for winter and spring terms. Learn more or suggest a presentation.
NCCI classification codes: When you hire temporary employees, graduate employees, student employees, and for stipend positions, make sure that you select the appropriate NCCI code on the PRF, for workers' compensation. (For other positions, the code is assigned centrally.)

The correct answer is C. Pro tem pools are used to build a pool of qualified applicants for short-term needs that may not be fully known in advance; for example, teaching core courses in a department with unpredictable enrollments, or covering unexpected instructor leaves.
