Welcome to 2016

Make Your Voice Heard

Welcome to 2016 NGLCCNY members, LGBTBEs, corporate partners and supporters,
As you can see from all the events & announcements below, we are off and running to our biggest year of LGBT business success yet!
Your business has a voice in the regulatory & policy decisions in NYC through NGLCCNY's seat on the Comptroller's Red Tape Commission, and we want to hear from you:
What has been the greatest challenge so far? What can governement do to make your life easier?
Please take a moment to fill out the survey befoe January 15, 2016. It should not take more than a few minutes. Your answers and feedback will help us determine how we can make government a partner, rather than an obstacle, to your business growth.
See you at the January 20th M3 and the many exciting educational and networking events ahead in 2016!
Yours in business Equality

NGLCCNY Welcomes New Corporate Level Partners
PennMutual Empire Wealth Strategies & Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP

2016 is in full swing and NGLCCNY is excited to welcome two new Corporate Level Partners to our family. PennMutual Empire Wealth Strategies* joins as a Bronze Level Corporate Partner and Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP joins as a Copper Level Corporate Partner. Here's what Damon Suden from Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP had to say about being a part of NGLCCNY.

Kelley Drye is proud to join the NGLCCNY as a corporate partner.  As an international law firm, Kelley Drye leverages the creativity, teamwork and expertise of our attorneys and professionals to meet the needs of our clients across a wide spectrum of legal specialties.  Diversity and Inclusion are guiding principles of our firm which is why we support our LGBT attorneys and other employees and are committed to working with LGBT and other minority-owned businesses.  We look forward to getting to know, and working with, our fellow NGLCCNY members and other corporate partners who share our commitment to the LGBT community.”

Damon Suden, Partner in the firm's litigation group.

NGLCCNY looks forward to partnering with both organizations to continue building the LGBTBE relationships with America’s leading companies, to generate prospective business, clients and collectively team with each other for contracting opportunities.

*A special feature on Penn Mutual is scheduled in February's issue of Excelsior. Please stay tuned!

Collaborative Procurement

Time Warner Global Sourcing

Time Warner is a very inclusive environment to work in and they make it so deliberately; so our engagement with all communities, including LGBT communities, is reflective of that…it is part of our culture,” stated Time Warner’s Executive Director of Global Sourcing and Supplier Diversity, Clint Grimes.

Corporate Spotlight

TD Bank

The Toronto Dominion Bank (TD) together with its subsidiaries, implemented its North American Supplier Diversity program in 2011, shortly after the Canadian based bank’s expansion into the U.S. Although TD’s supplier diversity program is relatively new compared to other U.S. supplier diversity programs, it is an active, vital component of the bank’s business. As supplier diversity is relatively new in the Canadian business landscape, TD (one of Canada's largest banking institutions and parent of TD Bank, N.A. America’s Most Convenient Bank®) was one of the trailblazers of supplier diversity programs in its “home” country.

Non-Profit Spotlight

Live Out Loud

Many of us are inspired by the stories we read about the bravery of those who blazed the trails to create a movement of equality. Many organizations have risen out of the needs to help the community due to crisis on demand. However, very few organizations have been created with the express goal to be strategic about a way forward for the next generation at the high school level while engaging multi-generations of the LGBT community. This year’s first feature is an organization doing just that.
