Hello Wnet Members/Followers,
You are why we exist. Wnet is here to empower you, advocate for you, and provide you invaluable resources. We hope you will decide to walk forward with us, as together we open doors of opportunity, create rewarding experiences, and realize your potential and your goals.
Welcome to Wnet's new quarterly newsletter, The Wnet Advocate, which is designed to keep you informed on the latest news, events and opportunities, and offer you ways to provide us feedback.
Wnet is more relevant than ever, and in 2018, we are committed to you by being:
- More Significant. Wnet is growing at an unprecedented rate—serving thousands of women annually—-and that provides you with unprecedented networking, learning and professional brand-building opportunities. We've also expanded our Advisory Committee to broaden your knowledge, power and access to information, tools and advice.
- More Relevant. We have refreshed our mission and vision and we’d love your feedback on them! We are building unique, invaluable resources on our website so you can build your network, discuss key topics, learn from experts, get noticed and contribute your expertise to the Wnet community, 24/7/365, right from your phone or computer. You won’t want to miss the most exciting Wnet Leadership Summit ever!
- More Accessible. Your time is precious, and so is the power of volunteering, so we’ve organized our committees into short-term projects so that you can choose those that fit your interests, goals and time limits. The new Mentor-for-a-Minute program enables you to reach out directly to a Wnet leader on any career topic. Our social media pages and focused emails will ensure that you are always "in the know" on local, national and virtual opportunities to participate. Be sure to join the discussion on Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook and connect immediately with other Wnet members! You’ll also see more Wnet learning and networking sessions at industry events including ETA TRANSACT, KNOW Identity, Money 20/20, MWAA and more.
On behalf of the entire Wnet Board of Directors, active volunteers and staff, I welcome you to The Wnet Advocate and hope you will choose to make this your year to engage in all that Wnet has to offer you.
Sincerely,
