June Student Spotlight: Randy Raschke
Why did you choose Loyola Online?
I picked Loyola for its higher quality of learning. Growing up in the New Orleans area, I already knew the deeply rooted culture of the institution and had a respect for its community ties. The largest attraction was the quality of education going beyond just principals of education for degree achievement. Loyola develops its students professionally but also to bring a more wholesome person forward through philosophy and culture. The faculty helps to keep me excited as they genuinely enjoy what they do, while at other schools it seemed like a chore to them.
What do you hope to do with what you've learned from Loyola Online?
When my journey at Loyola ends, I’d like to join an organization that believes in developing its people and itself while keeping a strong supportive role in its community. My aspirations are to transition into business development though I’m not opposed to exploring other options during my time working towards my degree.
Each issue we will feature an online student or faculty/staff member who embodies the Ignatian ideals of faith, truth, justice, and service in our online community. If you'd like to nominate someone, please contact ssconlinega@loyno.edu to share who and why you think deserves to be in the spotlight.
