Happy Friday!

We hope you are enjoying a cuppa something today just like Baby Yoda (pictured at left) and gearing up for not only Halloween tomorrow, but Mandolorian Season 2!

So...what is everyone going to be this year? You may recall that last year, your BTS newsletter editor's child decided it was absolutely necessary to dress up as an obscure Star Wars character (Snap Wexley, anyone?), and this year is no different. Did you know they made costumes of Captain Rex? Do you know who Captain Rex is? Because I sure don't, but I thank goodness they've made a Halloween costume of him.

Whatever you decide to do, we here at BTS hope it is safe and doesn't involve driving alone in your car.

Walk & Ride Challenge Winners

Okay, okay enough with the chit chat. We have some folks chomping at the bit to see who won our annual Walk & Ride Challenge.

Every fall, we have co-workers who work in Bethesda team up to see who can walk the most over a three-week period. The top three teams walking the most all win amazing prizes, and other prizes are awarded throughout the Challenge.

So without further ado...

Grand Prize Winning Team: The COVID Crushers of ASHP, who walked an average of 178,591 steps in three weeks!
Second Place: ASHP Bits & Bytes, who walked an average of 172,460 steps.
Third Place: Walk DMC of the American Gastroenterological Association, who walked an average of 171,975 steps.

In addition, we have some other weekly winners to announce...

Our Scavenger Hunt this year consisted of two questions:

How many public bike racks are located in Downtown Bethesda? The answer is over 90!
What are the locations and hours of the Bethesda Streetery? The answer is 11am – 10pm daily at the following locations:

• Norfolk Avenue, between St. Elmo Avenue and Cordell Avenue
• Norfolk Avenue, between Cordell Avenue and Del Ray Avenue
• Woodmont Avenue, between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue
• Veterans Park, corner of Norfolk and Woodmont Avenues
• Cordell Avenue, between the parking garage near Old Georgetown Road and Triangle Towers; Streetery hours are Thursday – Saturday, 6pm – 10pm on Cordell Avenue
