During the conference, ARCC presented its annual awards, two of which were conferred on TTU HCOA faculty. Associate Professor Dr. Hazem Rashed-Ali was awarded the 2023 ARCC May Kihl Distinguished Service Award, which is given to an ARCC member who has demonstrated exceptional service to the organization. Assistant Professor Nate Imai was also awarded the 2023 Research Incentive Award, a competitive, proposal-based $10,000 award which aims to support and promote high‐quality architectural research and scholarship activities in ARCC member schools. This is the first time two HCOA faculty received ARCC awards in the same year. A conference like this one, much like architecture, is a collaborative effort of many. First, we thank the President of ARCC, Dr. Adil Sharag-Eldin, who together with the members of the board, entrusted the Huckabee College of Architecture to be the host school of the 2023 ARCC International Conference. A special thank you goes to Dr. Hazem Rashed-Ali, who proposed we host the conference in Dallas. An enormous thank you goes to the co-chairs of the ARCC Conference - Dr. Saif Haq and Professor Zahra Safaverdi. Without their tireless work, this conference would not have been possible. A special thank you goes to the members of the Design Leadership Alliance, comprised of HCOA alumni who provided support for this conference. A heartfelt thank you also goes to my colleague Professor Lior Galili and our architecture students, Zachary Casey and Scott Cameron, who organized and led the exhibition displaying work from the Huckabee College of Architecture in the lobby area of the Dallas Marriott Downtown Hotel. Further, we thank our excellent staff Rachel Roe, event coordinator; Jeff Hoover, facilities director; and students Amber Hodge, Raul Jimenez, Ashton Rider, and Viviana Quezada, who all worked collaboratively to hold this conference. Last but not least, we express our gratitude to all the brilliant HCOA colleagues who presented their scholarly work and moderated various conference sessions.
