Come join the Chapter and HTC Physicians for our new VWD Coffee Chat series. This series is for community members with a Von Willebrand's diagnosis. We will go over different topics of interest including diagnosis difficulties, future research, treatment options and much more! There will also be coffee and breakfast snacks at the event.

APPLICATIONS for NYLI are NOW OPEN!

The National Youth Leadership Institute is a three-year program within the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) designed to assist young adults ages 18-22 from the bleeding disorders community to become well-trained, recognized leaders. NYLI also provides an amazing opportunity for youth to learn and share experiences of living with a bleeding disorder around the country. NHF achieves these outcomes by providing young adults with training, support, and opportunities to provide education to the bleeding disorders community.

PUERTO RICO RELIEF

As you know, and have seen in the news, the damage caused by the hurricane in Puerto Rico has been catastrophic. NHF has been in communication with leadership from the local Hemophilia Treatment Center and Region II regarding their direct needs. While the immediate need today is access to care and medicine, and Region II, HRSA, ATHN, Hemophilia Alliance, NHF and others are working on those needs, we know that in the near future financial assistance will be crucial.

NHF is working with the hemophilia treatment center in Puerto Rico to coordinate aid to people with bleeding disorders. NHF is collecting funds which will be donated directly to help the bleeding disorders community and HTC in Puerto Rico.

NHF is acutely aware of the suffering of the all the US citizens of Puerto Rico. If you would like to help in the recovery efforts, there are many organizations who are working to rebuild.
