Dear Participants in the California State Fair Wine Competition,
For more than 165 years, the California State Fair has showcased the Best of California. Although we’re faced with challenging times right now, the CA State Fair & Food Festival team remains optimistic. We are in continuous communication with our States’ leadership as well as our partners to keep our competitors, volunteers, and staff safe and healthy while we continue to plan for our competition season. We recognize the impact that the COVID-19 emergency has had on personal lives and the agricultural business industry. In an effort to provide the opportunity for competitors to continue to focus on business and personal recovery, competition opening dates have been postponed to April 13.
As our leadership continues to guide us, we will continue to discuss how we can best support individuals and agricultural businesses during this time of need. As this is a fluid situation where things are changing daily, emails will be sent out with updates on the California State Fair and Food Festival and competition planning as things develop.
