Thank you for celebrating the start of Fall 2025 with us! First-Year Advising opened the year with over 300 Dornsife freshmen at our annual Kickoff Social full of food, music, games and prizes (pictured below). Then we rolled out the welcome mat at our headquarters in Grace Ford Salvatori Hall (GFS) 320 so that students could meet their advisors, share what they're looking forward to (pictured above), and test their Trojan knowledge with USC trivia!

Smoothing Roommate Rumbles
Starting at a new school is tough enough, but many students also launch the year sharing close quarters with roommates for the first time. Such arrangements can lead to forever friendships, but they can also be the source of awkwardness and conflict.
Below is some advice from previous freshmen on how to navigate these new waters.
| "Take the roommate agreement seriously."
"Be respectful of each other's belongings and space."
| "Hang out and get to know each other. It makes the experience ten times better!"
