Splash Dogs - Rescue Dog Dive Day

Saturday, July 21
Water-loving dogs from all over California compete for the longest and farthest jump at the Splash Dogs Dock. Saturday, July 21 is the Rescue Dog Dive Day. Owners of rescue dogs can register for Splash #9 at 11 a.m. or Splash #12 at 5 p.m. Thanks to Sacramento SPCA for their participation and the Front Street Animal Shelter for bringing a few lucky dogs looking for a "fur-ever" home. Milo's Corndog Eating Competition

Friday Prelims at 6:00 p.m. & Saturday Finals at 6:00 p.m.
Speed eaters compete to see how many corndogs they can eat in a set amount of time. The prelims happen on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and the finals take place on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Go to the Promenade Stage to watch the competition in person. Don't miss it!

Best of CA Brewfest

Saturday, July 21 at 3:00 p.m.
Taste the California State Fair award winning craft beer from the third largest competition in the country. CA State Fair Brewfest on Saturday, July 21 is a ticketed event for 21 and older and includes admission to the Fair. Youth Mariachi Competition
Sunday, July 22

NEW THIS YEAR: The CA State Fair is proud to host the first statewide youth mariachi competition in Northern California. Bands will compete for prize money and will have the opportunity to play with the world's oldest mariachi group - Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán. Click here for more info.

Professional Chef Cooking Challenge

Friday, July 20 at 12:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.
Professional California chefs showcase their talent and creativity in a competition using a mystery ingredient to prepare a three-course meal. Head over to the Cooking Theatre in the Save Mart California Kitchen to watch the action in person!

Toyota Concert Series - Day 8
Friday, July 20 at 8:00 p.m.

Con Funk Shun is bringing some funk to the California State Fair. Head to the Golden 1 Main Stage to dance and sing along. The concert is FREE with your Fair ticket, but you can get a guaranteed spot by purchasing a reserved seat.
