Gwinnett County Police Department Honored with Statewide Award |
The Gwinnett County Police Department’s Situational Awareness and Crime Response Center has been awarded the 2025 Georgia County Excellence Award by the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and Georgia Trend magazine.
Established in 2020, the center plays a key role in supporting law enforcement by using real-time data and technology to locate criminals and missing persons. Through partnerships with local businesses, it contributes significantly to public safety across the county.
As part of the Gwinnett Safe Communities initiative, the center leverages tools such as Flock Safety cameras, license plate readers and predictive analytics. These technologies—some installed by the County and others by businesses and Community Improvement Districts—allow officers to respond more quickly and effectively to incidents. Read the full article from the Gwinnett Daily Post.
If your business hasn't yet integrated with the Gwinnett Safe Communities program, now is a great time to do so. The CID is currently providing a reimbursement grant equal to the cost of installation and the first year's subscription fee for one FususCORE lite bundle, which supports up to four camera feeds.
