Two Of A Kind, Gherkin On A Full House: PickleJar Entertainment is relaunching its syndicated overnight show PickleJar Up All Night. This time in partnership with Midwest Communications, the show will be based at the company's Classic Country WNFN/Nashville. "This exciting collaboration between PickleJar and Midwest Communications brings a fresh, interactive energy to late-night Country radio," says Midwest VP/Tennessee Michael Brody. "With direct access to Nashville’s vibrant community of artists, we’re creating engaging content straight from the heart of Music City." Hosts and the launch date will be revealed later this month. Prior to her nearly five years with Apple, D'Hilly held digital marketing positions at Monument Records (where she previously worked with McCartney) and Borman Entertainment. Reve-News: Cumulus reported Q2 2025 net revenue of $186 million, down 9.2% year-over-year, and the lowest quarterly revenue since Q2 2020. Adjusted EBITDA was $22.4m, off from the prior year's $25.2m. The company reported a net loss of $12.8m, compared to a net loss of $27.7m in Q1 2024. Broadcast radio revenue was down 10.5% for spot and 20.5% for network, while digital was down 1.4%. "While the advertising backdrop for legacy media remains challenging, in the quarter we continued to outperform our radio peers, gaining market share across all broadcast spot revenue channels," says CEO Mary Berner. Saga Communications reported Q2 net revenue of $28.2 million, down 5.0% from $29.7m in the same period last year. Station operating expense was $22.2m, a 4.6% decrease year-over-year. The company had an operating income of $1.4m compared to $2.1m in the same period last year. Full release here.
Warner Music Group's recorded music revenue of $1.689 billion for the quarter ending June 30 is up 9% from the previous year's $1.554b. Digital revenue was up 5.3%, while streaming revenue was up 4%. "As we continue to evolve our company, we're focusing on the artists, songwriters, and markets with the greatest potential, while expanding our iconic catalog, and building the dynamic teams and tools that will help our talent have the biggest global impact," says CEO Robert Kyncl. Bits & Pieces: The Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) fundraising special has added performances from Jelly Roll, Dan + Shay, Brothers Osborne and Jon Pardi, and pre-taped appearances from Tim McGraw and Keith Urban, in addition to Sheryl Crow and Dolly Parton (CAT 7/3). The show originates from Nashville for the first time Aug. 15 at 7pm CT across more than 30 participating platforms, including ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC.
Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW) has opened applications for its annual "Behind the Mic Mentorship," a year-long program for U.S.-based female personalities from any format who have been on-air for at least three years with a desire to grow. The selected mentee will receive personalized conversations and advice from a wide range of industry professionals, and the opportunity to attend the NAB's Radio Show 2026 next April in Las Vegas. Chronicle: Manager Brandon Blackstock has passed away following a battle with cancer. He was 48. "Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years," the family shared via a statement. "He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time." Alongside his father, Starstruck CEO Narvel Blackstock, Brandon worked with artists including Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts. No word on services.
