Financial Aid Awareness Month |
|
|
February is Financial Aid Awareness Month. To help you save time on planning your college access and awareness activities, we'd like to remind you of some of the free materials we provide to students, parents and educators on our website, UCanGo2.org.
UCanGo2 offers some fun, interactive games that teach students about college, financial aid and scholarships. These games, Financial Feud and Jeopardy, have recently been updated and we’ve added a new game, Wheel of Fortune. Be sure to check out our games, along with the other college awareness activities, in the high school Educators section at UCanGo2.org.

Also in the Educators section of UCanGo2.org, take a look at the items in our College Planning and FAFSA Toolkits. You'll find everything you need to help you plant the seeds that may encourage your students to pursue higher education. We've recently updated our FAFSA information to help counselors, students and parents navigate the FAFSA process, and we've added PowerPoints to cover college planning and financial aid topics in greater detail.
We have these publications updated with information on the new 2024-25 FAFSA:

We also have some new PowerPoint presentations detailing the FAFSA changes, as well as explaining financial aid offers and the new Student Aid Index (SAI):

We’ve recently added our FAFSA Learning Modules. These resources cover the new changes with the 2024-25 FAFSA and explain how students and parents can successfully complete their application. There are five modules that cover:

They're back! Our High School and Middle School Student Workbooks have been updated and are full of great activities that lead students through the process of planning, preparing and paying for college. If classroom time won't allow using the entire workbook, feel free to assign individual sections that you choose.
