OEV Hosts the National League of Cities & Celebrates a $30K Grant for Supplier Diversity
The OEV Minority, Women, & Small Business Division hosted the National League of Cities (NLC) last month from September 21-22, celebrating a recently awarded grant and a flourishing partnership in equitable development.

NLC guests enjoyed dinner with our local Chamber of Commerce leaders, Citizen Advisory Council (CAC), and Economic Vitality Leadership Council (EVLC) at Capital Cascades before setting out on an economic development tour of Tallahassee-Leon County. With site visits to the Tallahassee Housing Authority Orange Ave. Development, Doak Campbell Stadium, Bragg Memorial Stadium, Innovation Park Magnetic Lab, and FAMU Way, the NLC officials got an immersive look at our region’s ongoing development projects and their economic impact.
The site visit closed with presentations from RAM Construction and our leaders at Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency—but more importantly, with eager discussions of OEV’s plans for a $30,000 grant awarded by the NLC. The funds will support an Executive Supplier Diversity Symposium aimed at helping Tallahassee-Leon County’s anchor institutions implement procurement policies that enhance the utilization of minority-owned, woman-owned, and small businesses.
