Expanded Greenway Access
City Council last week authorized a contract with Garver as part of Phase 3 of the Tennessee River Greenway. The contract is for land surveying and engineering design related to the project, which would add 1.5 miles of new greenway between Hobbs and Green Cove roads and connect the Elgie’s Walk Greenway to Ditto Landing. The final link, along with the Weatherly Road and Aldridge Creek greenway networks, creates a 15-mile greenway loop in South Huntsville.

Saving Places
Join the City of Huntsville and its partners in May for events, activities and promotions celebrating Historic Preservation Month. Spearheaded by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the observance seeks to heighten awareness about the wonderful buildings and places that are part of our shared history. We have planned a number of events, including walking tours, a History Harvest and Preservation Happy Hour. Hope you can be there!

Take Our Survey
The City of Huntsville is developing a Vision Zero Multimodal Safety Action Plan to assess multimodal traffic and transportation safety issues across our city.
Last year, the City passed a resolution committing to zero traffic fatalities and serious injuries by 2055. The Vision Zero Huntsville - Multimodal Safety Action Plan will engage all areas and voices in our community and gather meaningful public input on multimodal traffic safety issues throughout the city. Your input is essential to the planning process. This survey should not take more than 10-15 minutes. Thank you for participating!
