Professional Wardrobe Studio Blazer Drive: Dec. 13, 8:30 a.m.

The Staff Council Outreach Committee is partnering with UMKC Career Services to support the UMKC Professional Wardrobe Studio. Donate blazers to help UMKC students dress for success for interviews, career fairs, and networking events.
Drop off items on Dec. 13, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Atterbury Student Success Center (ASSC). Enjoy coffee and giveaways at the event.

Staff Council Employee Wellness Panel: Jan. 9, noon

Start your year off right. On Jan. 9, noon - 1:00 p.m., join the Staff Council Professional Development Committee to learn about wellness resources available to UMKC staff. During this panel discussion, learn how to jumpstart your health and wellness using resources like the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Campus Recreation, and the Kangaroo Pantry at the Dr. Raj Bala Agrawal Care Center.
This event will be held in-person in Bloch Executive Hall, 006. It will also be held virtually, via Zoom.

American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Service Event: Jan. 30, 5:00 p.m

Join Staff Council Outreach Committee on Jan. 30, 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., and serve dinner at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge. The Lodge provides cancer patients with a place to stay while receiving treatment.

2025 Staff Council Professional Development Conference: Session Proposals Due Jan. 31

Save the date: the 2025 Staff Council Professional Development Conference is taking place May 20.
The conference will focus on the theme of navigating tomorrow by embracing change and cultivating adaptability. We are currently accepting session proposals focused on topics like team building, resilience, technology, adaptability, and more.
