BUILD YOUR OWN NEST
If you’re exploring off-campus housing in Denton, plan to join UNT’s Housing Fair from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, on the Library Mall. Hosted every fall and spring semester, the fair features representatives from local apartments and student-living communities sharing information about floor plans, amenities, price breakdowns and move-in specials. UNT departments and community partners also will be there to provide important information and resources related to off-campus housing.
The fair also includes a roommate meet and greet, giving you a chance to connect with potential roommates!

TOYS FOR TICKETS
This holiday season, Transportation Services is making it easier to clear parking citations through the Toys for Tickets program. To participate, bring toy donations with purchase receipts to the Highland Street Garage office, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by Dec. 13. Give back and get those citations reduced or eliminated!

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS
As we approach Nov. 1, learn about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which honors loved ones who have passed away. This Mexican tradition celebrates life and remembrance through altars and ofrendas, adorned with marigold, or cempasúchil flowers, food and candles.
Celebrations begin with an event from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 in the Wooten Hall Atrium. Also, the Center for Belonging and Engagement will host a community ofrenda in its space in Union 335 and is requesting items through Nov. 2. The center’s celebration on the Library Mall from 3 to 7 p.m. that day will feature mariachi, baile folklórico, a Catrin/Catrina contest, free food, crafts and a drawing for swag.
