Plan to Celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Thursday, December 3, is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities! Here are a few ways your team can celebrate! Brighten your school hallways or squad room with our poster collection featuring NSDA coaches and alumni. Or, if your students are thinking about scripts, our literature collection featuring stories by or about persons with disabilities is a great resource to share.
We believe educators featuring topics, themes, and issues that impact an assortment of people and our society at large can create more informed global citizens and a space where students feel heard, welcomed, and encouraged to learn. This honor is an indicator of a student's academic achievement and competitive success and is a great addition to their resume.
