March 2016  |  A monthly publication of the National Speech & Debate Association
Dear Student,

The horizon is packed with World Speech Day quickly approaching, a full academic scholarship opportunity, and loads of resources to take your competition to the next level!
GET INVOLVED
Student Video Showcase » To celebrate World Speech Day on March 15, students are invited to create a two-minute YouTube video and submit a link to us at social@speechanddebate.org. The video should answer the prompt: Tell our community, in two minutes or less, about one change you’d like to see to create “A Better World." Students can work as individuals or in groups. A portion of the videos submitted will be selected for a World Speech Day Showcase! Any video links received by 11:59 p.m. CT on March 9 will be eligible for showcase selection. For more information about other World Speech Day activities, visit www.speechanddebate.org/worldspeechday.
Nominate Your Coach » The James M. Copeland Coach of the Year Award annually honors high school coaches who exhibit outstanding leadership and commitment to speech and debate activities. To learn more and access the online nomination form, visit www.speechanddebate.org/coachoftheyear.
