STEM in the News

History is being made today as Astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Koch participate in the first-ever All-Woman Spacewalk! Watch the live broadcast from NASA here.

Back on Earth, the 2019 Maryland STEM Festival, the annual state-wide celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, opened October 11th with over a dozen events in seven counties. The Festival will run through November 10th and consists of over 700 events across the state with at least one event in every county and Baltimore City. The Festival's theme is Space and Flight in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11th Lunar Landing.
