You read that right, we're not talking about the weather! So what is Metrology? The word “metrology" essentially means the study of measurement. Metrology originally stemmed from the need to manufacture interchangeable parts. In its modern application, metrology has become a highly advanced field with many tools and statistical methods to measure the accuracy and quality of manufactured parts.

Metrologists work in many high tech industries including aerospace, construction, energy, and healthcare. Due to the continuing demand for jobs in these fields there is no end in sight for the increasing need for skilled metrologists. If you’re looking for job security in an exciting STEM career, metrology could be the perfect fit.
