Join City Council for a Telephone Town Hall

Westminster City Council invites you to participate in a telephone town hall on Thursday, July 27 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Connecting with residents over the phone ensures those who are not able to livestream or attend the event in person are still able to engage with City Council. All landlines in Westminster will receive a phone call at the start of the event. Residents with cell phones who want to join will need to dial in at the start of the event by calling 855-962-1511. Whether you ask a question or just listen in, we hope you can join us!

Simms Street Closure

Beginning as soon as August 1, 2023, Verve Metropolitan District will close Simms Street between 112th Avenue and Control Tower Road for a 12-month construction project. Verve Metropolitan District is leading the project which will realign Simms Street between 112th Avenue and SH-128. During the 12-month closure, construction crews will relocate utilities and complete grading work to result in a new three-lane roadway. Please note that although this project does not fall within city limits, we know some Westminster residents may be impacted by the closure. Please direct any questions or concerns to W.E. The U.S. 36/Sheridan Underpass is Open!

On June 10, Westminster celebrated the grand opening of the U.S. 36/Sheridan Underpass. The underpass will offer residents and visitors a safe, off-street connection to Downtown Westminster’s shops, businesses, and homes and solidifies the U.S. 36 Bikeway as Colorado’s bike commuter highway. Later this year, we will engage the community about a permanent mural to further beautify the underpass. Watch the video.

Zero Fare for Better Air

For the months of July and August, RTD will offer #ZeroFare across the entire system during Colorado’s high ozone season. Customers will NOT have to purchase mobile tickets or use fare products as RTD aims to help reduce ground level ozone by increasing the use of public transit. Learn more.
