Join Us at Two Upcoming Milestones for the Drinking Water Facility Project

Community Groundbreaking Celebration

You're invited to a special community groundbreaking celebration to commemorate the start of construction on the new drinking water facility.

📅 Wednesday, September 24
⏰ 5 to 6:30 pm
📍 9988 Westminster Boulevard. The event and the new drinking water facility construction site are located on the east side of Westminster Boulevard between 98th and 104th avenues.

To thank everyone for celebrating this important milestone with us, all attendees will be entered into a raffle for some great prizes — including one of six waterwise plants grown from the City’s greenhouse, four $50 water bill credits, or a $200 gift card for a Garden In A Box!

Please RSVP to help us plan for the event. Enjoy food trucks, refreshments, and activities for all ages. Admission is free and open to everyone.

Preconstruction Open House

As part of our commitment to engaging the community every step of the way, the project team is also hosting a preconstruction open house ahead of the groundbreaking celebration.

Sheridan Green Redevelopment & Stratford Park Expansion Underway

Deconstruction has officially started as part of the Sheridan Green Redevelopment and Stratford Park Expansion Project. Crews will be working to safely remove the building at 109th Avenue and Harlan Street over the next 4-6 weeks, preparing the site for the expansion of Stratford Park.

10,000 Items Donated to Local Students Through Fill A Backpack

That’s a wrap on this year’s Fill A Backpack program! Thanks to the amazing support from our community, we reached our goal of collecting 10,000 donated items for local students. All donations have been delivered to A Precious Child for distribution.

Participate in City Council Meetings

The community is always invited to participate in City Council meetings scheduled on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7 pm in City Hall. You can participate during the public comment portion of the meeting by calling, writing, or attending in person.
