Coaches and students can go behind the curtain of the process for putting together a final round Duo from start to finish. Through script notation, early practice videos, and narration, Duo finalists Ethan Gambriel and Tyler Simpson share the story behind the cutting, blocking, practicing, and performing of their piece, A Tiny Miracle With a Fiberoptic Unicorn. Recognize Academic and Competitive Excellence
|
The prestigious Academic All American award recognizes high school students for academic and competitive success. To be eligible, students must have:

- Earned the degree of Superior Distinction (750 points)
-
Completed at least 5 semesters of high school
- Demonstrated outstanding character and leadership
- Earned a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Students who meet the points requirement are marked with a yellow box that says AAA? on your Student Roster. It's free and easy to submit a nomination, and the award makes an excellent addition to resumes or scholarship applications.

During our kick-off session on December 7, we will cover our mission and vision, establish guidelines and expectations, and set personal goals for participation.

Vote for the 2024-2025 Policy Debate Topic

Cast your ballot to help determine the final Policy Debate resolution for 2024-2025! Member students and one chapter advisor per active school are eligible to vote. Read a synopsis of the proposed problem areas, then log in to your NSDA Account and select "NSDA Voting" from the left side menu. Voting ends Friday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m. CT. Make a Plan to Celebrate National Speech and Debate Education Day

Our annual National Speech and Debate Education Day (NSDE Day) is a time to honor, celebrate, and promote the activity of scholastic speech and debate. This school year, we will celebrate on Friday, March 1, 2024, and we hope you will join us! We have NSDE Day posters, logos, and graphics as well as templates to contact your local media and legislators on our website. Check out the 2024 Toolkit for more ways to promote your program.
