March is always a busy month for the STL Plan. The Consultant Teachers and Induction Coaches recommended 92 teachers for successful release from the Plan with contract renewal for the 2022-2023 school year. While we will continue to work with these teachers until the end of the 2021-2022 school year, we would like to offer those new teachers congratulations on their success. We will celebrate their journey with several “graduation” activities in May.
As March 2022 is about to end, we can see that April will be just as busy. One of the ways we continue to work with all our teachers is with small group professional development sessions. The Consultant Teachers, Induction Coaches and former Consultant Teachers have planned several sessions for new teachers and substitute teachers. Here is a list of what has been planned:
-
Induction Coaches will extend the learning from the February cohort PD with a virtual booster session on April 6, 2022: Data and Learning Targets. This Teams session will be held from 4:30pm – 5:30pm. Please Contact Deborah.Peebles@slps.org or James.Greenlee@slps.org for more information.
Consultant Teachers will deliver 3 hours of in-person PD on Saturday, April 2, 2022: Optimizing Instructional Time: Strategies that work. This session will be held at 450 Des Peres from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Please contact Calvin@slps.org or Wanda.Clay@slps.org for more information.
Former Consultant Teachers will deliver 4 hours of in-person PD on Saturday April 2, 2022: Substitute Teaching 102. This training session will be held at 450 Des Peres from 8:00am – 12:00pm. It is open to all substitute teachers who were unable to attend the March 5, 2022 session. Please contact Swenson@slps.org or William.Huber@slps.org for more information.
Please remember, the STL Plan Des Peres site is available for small group professional development. If you are looking for a place to have small group professional development, come and see what is possible at 450 Des Peres, St. Louis MO 63112.
For more information or a short tour, please contact Wanda.Clay@slps.org.
