WI22 - Week 6:Booster Bowl edition.
Just here for the commercials?
If this weekend’s ‘big game’ itself doesn’t exactly pique your interest, we’re hoping that a sprinkling of some good ol’ commerce (in the form of $10 Triton Cash) might do the trick.
More than a game. In this WWL-only analogy, however, ‘big game’ refers to the panoramic health and well-being of our entire community – and it’s more important than football. If you’ve already been boosted and filled out the opt-in form, your Booster Bucks funds will be credited next week. Goal!
♪ Com-ply with me, let’s -ply ♪
Look, we understand that there are myriad reasons, individual circumstances, and general ‘demic-based ripple effects that factor into a Triton’s non-compliance status. (There are not, however, myriad reasons to use the word ‘myriad’ – and we apologize, comms majors).
Referral madness. If you’re high on the list of OOC students (out of compliance, that is), you’ll need to remedy that status, STAT – by getting boosted or applying for an approved exemption – before being referred to Student Conduct on Feb. 18.
Forms follow function.
Speaking of exemptions, we’ve been receiving a lot of Winter Quarter remote forms from students that didn’t necessarily need to fill one out. Here’s the deal: you don’t need to complete a “remote form” unless you are NOT fully vaccinated.
Exempt from exemption form. Because you only need to fill it out if you’re requesting an exemption from the mandate, fully vaccinated people are both a) in compliance with the mandate; and b) exempt from weekly testing requirements.
Spring Break, you off.
We’re currently planning a week’s worth of experiential (and fun!) programming for Tritons who aren’t able/ don’t choose to travel during the March 21-25 break.
Spring travel. You off? If you do intend to get outta’ Dodge, make every effort to dodge infection by minding the CDC’s Safety Tips or WaPo’s piece on post-COVID travel. Spoiler alert:all travel is now post-COVID travel; safety measures are here to stay.
Quick Hits and Bits
Cheers for ‘teers. Our colleagues are searching for student volunteers to appear in a video for Triton Days 2022, which’ll be filmed Feb. 22 on campus. Email the coordinator at kscheiber@ucsd.edu to take part.
