As we commemorate Independence Day, let's shine a light on quotes that capture the pleasures linked with our freedom to read:
|
- "Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." – Frederick Douglass
-
"Some books leave us free and some books make us free." – Ralph Waldo Emerson
- "If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking." - Haruki Murakami
|
Also, remember our doors are open to all who need to escape the summer heat! While at BAPL, check out the amazing programming that is taking place.
Sincerely, Beckie
