VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

The Hope for Depression Research Foundation is hosting the 8th Annual Southampton Race of Hope 5K Run/Walk to Defeat Depression and is looking for adults and teens (ages 15 to 17 with an accompanying adult) to volunteer during the race.

Date and Time: Sunday, August 6, 5:30 am to 1 pm
Location: Southampton Cultural Center
25 Pond Lane, Southampton

HELP BRING HOMECOMING HOME THIS FALL

The homecoming planning committee would like to invite our campus community to host their own event or program during Homecoming 2023: Return to Wolfstock (October 19-22, 2023). Events or programs can include lectures, department open houses/lab tours, interactive workshops, reunions/milestone celebrations, or anything else you think up! Submit your proposal here by August 15.

TRAINING REMINDER

This training will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to and help a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. It will also provide an understanding of signs, symptoms, and actions to take as part of Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC).

Fall Football Fun!
Stony Brook fans have five chances to see their favorite college football team live on Long Island this fall! For the third year in a row, the Seawolves open the season at LaValle Stadium on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend when they face Delaware on August 31, under the lights at 7 p.m. See the Seawolves full football schedule and get your tickets now to be part of the action!

CAA Name Change
The Colonial Athletic Association has changed its name to the Coastal Athletic Association. The league, which will still be referred to as the CAA, will continue to use the same conference logo. The new name reflects the CAA’s recent expansion, with members spanning the Atlantic coast from Massachusetts to South Carolina.
