Dear Day Students and their Families, We are so excited to welcome you to campus! There is much information to share with you and this communication provides a summary of important reminders, fun activities, and processes to make the registration process as inviting, safe, and streamlined as possible.
Registration and Testing
Registration will be Wednesday, March 31 from 3-6 pm.
Day students must schedule a registration appointment through the Medicat Health Portal. If you have questions or need assistance with this, email Sykes Wellness or call 978-749-4455. Students, we ask that you do not bring more than one family member or friend with you to register. You will be directed to parking and should proceed directly to the Borden Gym for your Covid test and to complete registration.
Once you complete registration and testing, unfortunately, you must leave campus. Day students will submit a saliva specimen to be included with Thrusday's testing rotation. This is not a rapid test. With a negative result, day students will have more freedom on campus sooner. We expect results early Saturday morning and we look forward to seeing you soon after.
Please be sure that all of your health forms have been submitted before you start the process.

Campus Safety and Non Sibi Safety Pledge Reminders
Mask Wearing: You will always wear your mask on campus. The only time you are not wearing your mask will be when you are eating (in tents or on the grass).
Physical distancing: You will always practice physical distancing (four feet in classrooms; 6 feet everywhere else). This is especially important when you are eating.
Hand washing: You will be able to wash and disinfect your hands regularly. We have placed hand washing stations and hand sanitizer dispensers around campus so that we can all practice excellent hygiene. Ongoing testing: We will be testing every student twice a week once you begin accessing campus. You may not come to campus if you are not getting tested regularly. Daily monitoring: Every student and every adult accessing campus is asked to complete the Symptom Tracker daily through the Medicat Health Portal. Completing the Symptom Tracker is a key component of the Non Sibi Pledge. A reminder to complete this survey will be emailed to you every morning. Email sykeswellness@andover.edu if you are having difficulty accessing the survey. Restrictions: Day students are not permitted inside dormitories. Only contactless food deliveries will be permitted on campus.

Life on Campus
On Saturday, April 3, we hope to invite all day students to campus for brunch! Once Sykes has evaluated the test results, we'll send an email to day students with the specifics. Be sure to check your email. REMINDER: BlueCards will not be activated until Saturday.
We will be offering a mini-orientation/re-orientation for juniors and lowers beginning at 2:30 pm on Saturday. Given that juniors and lowers have had very limited time on campus or time together as classmates, we want to give you an opportunity to find your way around campus before in person classes begin. We are planning campus tour/scavenger hunt type activities and some ice breakers/speed friending activities. Juniors will participate in these activities from 2:30-4:00, and lowers will participate from 4:00-5:30. Students will be shown locations of day student lockers and classrooms and where they can pick-up their textbooks. We strongly encourage juniors to participate in this orientation.
There will be a special meal Saturday night followed by class activities for ALL STUDENTS. Please refer to this week's Weekender for specific information.
Since both Passover and Easter fall this weekend, we understand if students are unable to attend.
Textbooks Textbooks will be available for pick-up on Saturday (after invite to campus), Sunday, and Monday in the lobby of GW. The books will be bundled and labeled alphabetically by last name and placed near Dickie's Desk. Your BlueCard will give access to GW. Please observe social distancing when retrieving your books and exit the building once you have them.
Day Student Lockers At registration, you will receive a card with your locker location, number and combination. Students may acess their lockers and begin storing items once invited to campus on Saturday.
Athletics If you haven't completed Baseline Impact Testing, you need to complete it by Friday, April 2 to participate in afternoon programming on Monday, April 5. Emails and links to Impact Baseline Tests were sent over spring break to lowers and those required to complete this test . You will not be cleared to begin sports on Monday, April 5 if the baseline test is not completed by Friday. If you have any questions, please email Amy Wiggins.
