Celebrating our Top 100 Schools
Each year, the 100 high school chapters with the largest number of new Honor Society degrees receive the Top 100 Schools designation. Join us in recognizing the 2022-2023 winners! Coaches and administrators have been mailed letters of congratulations.
Introduce Students to Events with Starter Kits
Our starter kits include event overviews, strategies, sample videos, and advice from national finalists. Check them out or share them with students!
Earning NSDA Points for Scrimmages
Remember, students may earn up to 75 merit points for intrasquad and intersquad competitions that do not have the usual required four schools participating. Coaches will enter these points manually and list the Tournament/Service name as Scrimmage.
This is a great way for geographically isolated schools or students with weekend conflicts to earn more points!

Encourage Student Legislation Submissions for the National Congress
Any high school or middle school NSDA member student, regardless of their national qualification status, may submit legislation to be considered for the 2024 National Tournament Docket! Students may submit multiple pieces of legislation for consideration.
If their legislation is selected to be part of the Nationals Docket, they will be recognized in Rostrum, receive a trophy after the tournament, and be awarded a $100 scholarship. This is a great way to boost students’ resumes and be recognized for their research and writing skills! The online form closes February 5, 2024.
Host a Big Questions Debate Event and Earn Money for Your Team
Celebrate Supporters with Honorary NSDA Membership
Did you know you can elect an adult who has contributed to your team to be an honorary National Speech & Debate Association member? This is a great way to generate buy-in from administrators or honor a parent who helps your team!
Honorary members must be adults who have contributed in some significant way to the speech and debate program of the local chapter, but have not earned Association membership as a student or instructor. A chapter may elect one Honorary member for each 100 members and degrees earned by that chapter, not more than one a year.
