National Hispanic Heritage Month

From September 15 through October 15 the United States recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans in history, culture, and achievements. September 15 is the independence day for countries in Central America including El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala. In addition, Mexico's independence day is Sept. 16, and Chile's is Sept.18.

California Minority Counsel Program 2022 Annual Business Conference: Volunteer Opportunity

The California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP) is looking for volunteers to assist with the upcoming Annual Business Conference in Los Angeles, October 12-14, 2022, at the JW Marriott LA Live. This event is a great opportunity for students and alumni from Southwestern to take part in and support one of California’s largest minority business attorney events and to network & connect with more than 500 attorneys at all levels and sectors of the legal profession.

Volunteers will have one or more of the following roles during the conference:

Greeting and Directional Support (making sure attendees get to the right place and on time)
Registration Desk (greeting and checking-in event attendees)
Room Monitors (providing support to CMCP staff and ensuring all is in order in each session room)
Corporate Connections Moderator (keeping time for 15-minute interviews)
Live Event Promotion via social media
