The East Phillips Neighborhood Institute (EPNI) invites the environmental justice, transit-oriented development, and allied communities to join us for an important meeting about the future of the City of Minneapolis' wateryard facility slated to be built on the seven acre site formerly known as Roof Depot.
EPNI is a collaboration between the East Phillips Improvement Coalition (EPIC), Little Earth of United Tribes, Tamales y Bicicletas, the Women‘s Environmental Institute, and Somali Family Chemical Awareness. The coalition has come together with support from the Minnesota State Legislature to secure a three acre public-private development opportunity for the environmental justice community at this site.
Come and learn more from City of Minneapolis staff and Phillips community leaders about the work they have been doing together over the past year to develop a shared vision for a LEED certified state of the art Public Works facility that incorporates space for an aquaponics, green jobs training facility, bike shop, local coffee shop, farmer's market, and community kitchen!
