Morning with Meteorologists (Hurricanes)

Join us once more for an unforgettable Grownup STEM Day-Morning with Meteorologist, brought to you by the Region 6 STEM Center and Cenla Weather! Morning With Meteorologists (Hurricanes!) is a mix of visual and academic materials. Visuals will include satellite and radar images of hurricanes and footage from intercept missions. Academic material centers on climatology (when and where), history, the naming process, structure, effects, preparation, and include a global perspective. Finally, of course, there will be ample take-home materials.

At the Louisiana State VEX Tournament, teams from all over Louisiana showcased their ingenuity and dedication to robotics. Congratulations to Ireland and Dominica for their outstanding victories at the Louisiana State VEX Tournament! Your achievements bring pride not only to your teams but also to the entire Region 6 community. Well done on showcasing your talent and dedication in the field of robotics. Keep up the great work!

The LASTEM Summit is an annual conference whose goal is to strengthen PK-16 STEM education (K to Grey!) throughout Louisiana and the nation. This year's event will bring together educators, business leaders, government officials, and others who play a key role in STEM education to share ideas and resources. The Summit will feature both informative panels, breakout sessions, and an interactive "Playground" including robotics, Esports, mobile STEM units, and 50+ exhibitors.

Teacher Leader Summit 2024 |
The 2024 Teacher Leader Summit is an annual professional learning conference that brings together Louisiana birth to grade 12 educators and content experts. Educators participating in the event will share their knowledge, learn new skills, and prepare for the 2024-2025 school year. It will take place from May 28 - May 30, 2024, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (NOENMCC).

This scholarship awards two $500.00 scholarships annually to college upperclassmen majoring in elementary education, mathematics education, or mathematics. Alongside the scholarship, recipients will receive complimentary LATM student memberships.
