Bonanza Flat Purchase, Final Budget Approval, Affordable Housing
SUMMARY of the JUNE 15 CITY COUNCIL MEETING 
IN THE WORK SESSION
Final review of the fiscal year 2017-2018 budget.
Council discussed the selection guidelines and sale pricing of eight affordable/attainable housing units at 1450 and 1460 Park Avenue, and eleven units at Central Park Condominiums. Council stressed that providing affordable housing is first and foremost about building community. 
Applications for the affordable and attainable housing are due June 30th. Once applications are reviewed and applicants deemed eligible, there will be a lottery to determine who may purchase the units. For more information visit www.housinghelp.org and view the application here.

Council Outreach Series: Review and Recommendations for "Coffee With Council"
Public Input
Michael Falk, a local private transportation provider, thanked the staff and two Council members who participated in an outreach session regarding the proposed micro-transit program, a community service that is designed to provide an additional layer of public transit. 
    Council Approved
    • The update on the Bonanza Flat open space purchase. Mayor Jack Thomas announced a celebration would take place Friday, June 16th, in the Bob Wells Plaza to officially announce the purchase and to recognize all partners who helped make this preservation of the 1,350-acre parcel possible.
    • The execution of a grant from Summit County in the amount of $2,000,000 to be applied toward the purchase of Bonanza Flat.
    • The selection of Utah Open Lands as the holder of the Bonanaza Flat open space conservation easement.
    • An open space cooperative agreement with Summit County and Snyderville Basin Recreation District that exchanges open space property from Park City Municipal's share of the Triangle Parcel in exchange for $2,250,000. The Council decided to apply the land sale proceeds towards the preservation of Bonanza Flat.
    • The 2017 Park Silly Sunday Market supplemental plan addendum, which includes a cycle-cab and a local shuttle service for Park Avenue.
    • fee waiver for the Peace House in the adjusted amount of $100,000.
    • An amendment to the City's fee schedule.
    • An ordinance that adopts the City's revised budget for 2017 and proposed budget for 2018 for Park City Municipal Corporation and its related agencies. 
    • A resolution adopting the City's comprehensive emergency management plan.
    • A resolution adopting the 2017 Mountainland Association of Governments pre-disaster hazard mitigation plan. 
    • A consideration to allow street dining (dining deck) on 562 Main Street for Fletcher's.
    • An ordinance that allows amendments to the Land Management Code with regard to setbacks in districts zoned for single-family units and an amendment that would allow an annexation area to expand.  
    • A consideration to suspend a requirement that the Deer Hollow Road (Keatley Road) be permanently disconnected. The disconnect requirement pertains to a third gate, never built, near the bottom of Deer Crest. The suspension of the requirement does not pertain to the gates at the top or bottom of Deer Crest. Those gates remain in place to discourage a public thoroughfare.
    • The Village at Empire Pass North Subdivision within the Empire Pass Master Planned Development. 
    MEETINGS OF THE REDEVELOPEMENT AGENCY AND THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY
    Adopted the revised budget for 2017 and proposed budget for 2018.
