Dear Students:
Last month, President Mearns shared with our campus community some long-awaited changes to our health and safety protocols for individuals who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including eliminating face mask requirements on campus.
Since then, our eligible Ball State employees have enjoyed some exciting additions to their COVID-19 vaccination incentive program, including weekly drawings for exclusive benefits.
Now, with the Fall semester rapidly approaching, we are launching our student COVID-19 vaccination incentive program.
Next week, we will begin a series of weekly vaccination incentive drawings for eligible students, who will be randomly selected to receive benefits ranging from bookstore and Tech Store vouchers, campus parking permits, dining cash, event tickets, VIP experiences, residence hall credits, and much more. Additional information on the weekly incentives for students is on the Ball State website.
To be eligible for our weekly incentives drawings, students must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and then verify their vaccinations by completing our online form. As a reminder, vaccinated students are not required to wear a face mask on campus, and are exempt from pre-arrival testing for the Fall 2021 semester and any mandatory surveillance testing. Fully vaccinated students will also be exempt from quarantine requirements if identified as a close contact of an infected person and do not experience COVID-19 symptoms.
I encourage you to read our student COVID-19 Response Plan for the Fall semester to learn more about Ball State’s updated health and safety protocols. We are grateful to all of our students who have been vaccinated. We look forward to providing a traditional, vibrant educational experience for all of our students this Fall.
