Beefing Up Donations in Williamson County

Williamson County 4-H’ers are steering food donations in the right direction through the Pay it Forward initiative with the Williamson County Fair board.
The initiative allows families to bring canned goods, food items or items on GraceWorks Ministries’ Critical Needs list in lieu of admission. Then, as part of the evening, 4-H puts on a Livestock Expo Auction following the 4-H Livestock Expo Parade of Champions. As part of the Fair’s 4-H Livestock Auction, students from the Williamson County program offer goats, lambs and steers they raised throughout the year for purchase by members of the community.

Alumni Spotlight:

Remembering Rebekah Lemley

In May, Tennessee 4-H experienced the unexpected loss of one of the organization’s brightest stars, Rebekah Lemley.

Growing up, Lemley participated in the Robertson Co. club, where her main project was dairy foods. Not only did Lemley win at the state level and serve on the state dairy products judging team, but she also served on the State 4-H Council and attended Congress.
