ISSS is looking for iPOLs to shape a positive orientation experience for new international students arriving in Fall 2022.
All domestic, international, undergraduate and graduate students who want to make an impact on welcoming new international students and supporting an inclusive global community are invited to read more about becoming an iPOL.

Important Dates 
November 24 - Thanksgiving Break (No classes; campus open). Please note drop-in events will not be held in the International Student Center on this day. Send questions to international@MiamiOH.edu.
November 25-28 - Campus and university offices closed for Thanksgiving Break
December 4 - Classes end
December 10 - End of semester and December Commencement

International students are welcome to come pick up a variety of cookies and other delicious treats that are baked and generously donated by local community members living in Oxford and surrounding areas who want to support international students and scholars and help sweeten their winter days.

International Student Graduation Reception 
Graduating international students and their loved ones are invited to the International Student Center to enjoy global refreshments, meet with ISSS staff, take photos, receive a graduation gift, and leave their mark at Miami! 

International students graduating in December or January will receive more detailed invitations via email.

Plan for Spring Semester 2022


  • Registration is open for spring semester for all students. If you have not yet registered, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible! If you have questions about what courses to take, please consult with your academic advisor.

  • Spring semester is scheduled to begin on January 24. International students will be required to complete a Study Plan e-form in InterLink to confirm their study plans for Spring 2022. The form is expected to launch on December 1.

Expressing Gratitude and Congratulations
Congratulations and thank you to all those recognized and honored at the International Education Week Award ceremony last night!
The ISSS team would like to express much appreciation for the efforts of all those eligible nominees for the 2021 Donald Nelson Award for Outstanding International Student Support: Laura Birkenhauer, Sarah Broome, Devon Cox, Kristin Cupido, William J. Gibbons, Katie Gibson, Judy Eaton, Tara Hoppe, J’nai Knox, Penny Mannix, Mandy Pettit, Gary Ritz, Richard Smith, Nancy Stewart and this year's award recipient Lucrita Osman who has worked in Armstrong Student Center at Cafe Lux, Emporium, Pulley’s, Sundial & Sumeshi.
We would also like to express our gratitude and respect to the 1600 international students, scholars, and their dependents who have made the journey to Oxford to become part of our Miami University community.
