Homecoming is this weekend!
All Miami students can attend this weekend’s homecoming football game for free with their Miami ID Card. Head over to Yager Stadium on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Or, you could go to Millet Hall at 12:00 noon for some tailgating (free food and free t-shirts). There will be opportunities to win prizes throughout the day.
The goal at this Prep Event is to introduce and broaden personal and professional global networking techniques and skills. Participants will gain knowledge about global networking skills, as well as information about Miami’s Career Fairs and the Diversity & Inclusion Networking Event.
This event provides students the opportunity to network with over 300 employers hiring across all Career Clusters. Bring plenty of resumés and wear professional attire. ISSS advisors will be there to answer your visa-related employment questions!
This event provides an informal environment to bring students and employers together who are mutually invested in a diverse workforce. Network with talented and diverse individuals who are focused on the importance of inclusion and equity as key elements of a successful career path. Light refreshments will be provided.
This new STEM-specific event will directly connect students in the science, technology, engineering & mathematics space with employers hiring in those fields. ISSS advisors will have a table at this event as well to answer questions about STEM OPT and related topics.
Join staff from a variety of offices including Health and Counseling, King Library, Student Success, Writing Center, and more to ask any questions you have and learn about all of the resources that are available to you. Refreshments and games (with prizes) will be available!
At Miami University, attendance in class is required. Your professors will typically indicate how many classes you are permitted to miss and will take attendance on a daily basis. Please make sure that you are attending all of your classes and showing up to them on-time and in-person. Be aware that you can be dropped from your courses for missing too many classes. If this causes you to drop below full-time enrollment, it can have serious consequences for your legal status in the U.S. If you are struggling with your classes, do not stop attending! Visit your professors during office hours to seek advice, or utilize resources on campus such as the Rinella Learning Center.
Question: Am I allowed to work on campus? How can I find a job?
International Flags in Armstrong!
Have you seen the new international flag plaques in the Armstrong Student Center near the Great Seal? If not, be sure to check it out! We are excited to see Miami’s commitment to diversity demonstrated by this beautiful display that welcomes and honors our international community.
Are you looking to distribute information about your event, program, group etc. to international students and scholars at Miami? Submit an ISSS communications request.
