What You Need to Know

New Booster Clinics Announced: Today, Lane County announced a partnership with the Oregon Health Authority and PeaceHealth, which creates expanded COVID-19 vaccination clinics for booster shots, first and second doses, and pediatric doses. Starting this Friday, Dec. 17, the Annex Clinic will offer walk-in vaccinations Tuesday-Sunday from noon-7:00 p.m. Appointments are not needed. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson/Janssen vaccines will be available.
Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), individuals over 18 should get a booster shot:
  • At least 6 months after the second dose of a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
  • At least 2 months after the initial dose of a Johnson and Johnson/Janssen vaccine.
Teens aged 16-17 can get a booster shot if it has been at least 6 months since completing their primary vaccination series.

Faculty and Staff: 95.3%
Students: 96.8%
The vaccination rate is updated on the COVID-19 Safety Dashboard every Monday. All UO faculty, staff, and students are required to be fully vaccinated or submit a vaccine exemption and undergo weekly testing. UO vaccination rates are a key measure in becoming a "fully vaccinated" campus under CDC guidelines for higher education.
