Update from YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Center: New Director and Virtual Home Away from Home
YWCA welcomed Monica in August, and she has since been hard at work preparing for the fall semester.
Many of our youth are enrolled in the Virtual Learning program, and we know that many need extra support and guidance with navigating these new waters.
Thus, the Phyllis Wheatley Center has launched the
Virtual Home Away from Home Program to serve youth who have opted for the virtual learning experience.
40 young people will be served daily at the facility, safety distanced, while receiving support from Phyllis Wheatley staff and volunteers to complete their virtual learning assignments.
