This is the last Mawrtian Minutes of the 2024–2025 school year. We hope you enjoy reading about our end-of-year celebrations and all of this year's activities. Please be on the lookout for some divisional emails in the coming months and check our website brynmawrschool.org next week for an exciting update. Mawrtian Minutes will resume in September. College Acceptances

The Class of 2025, including the first Bryn Mawr Online graduate, ready to take their intellectual curiosity and talents off to college.

Class Day

Class Day brought the Upper School together in the Graduation Garden to celebrate the accomplishments of the students, both inside and outside of the classroom and welcome the Class of 2025 into the Alumnae Association.  

New Board Members

Bryn Mawr is welcoming three new members to the Board of Trustees as well as a new Alumnae Association President. Our new board members are Anne Eggleston Broadus ’88, Byron King P’23 ’26 and Karla Aghajanian P’26. Gracie Harrington ’11 will be the new Alumnae Board President.

May and June include many milestone celebrations to end the school year, including Bell Ringing, Lower School Closing Exercises, Middle School Closing Convocation, Class Day and Graduation.  

Update from Athletics

Mawrtian Nation finished the year with six IAAM Championships! Congratulations to the tennis, field hockey, squash, badminton, golf and softball teams on their incredible seasons! Fall tryouts for Upper School athletes begin on August 18.  

Update from the Arts

Rehearsals for the Upper School fall musical begin on August 18. Performances will be Oct. 31, Nov. 1 & 2.  

Shout the Love

• Sofia Alvarez ’03 will be writing the screen play for the film adaptation of best-selling book Divine Rivals. Congratulations Sofia! 

• Bryn Mawr Music School faculty member Kathrin Murray has released an album of her work. Her music is available for streaming here. 
• Maggie Lynch ’23 received the Nathan Drake Award from the University of Maryland Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. This award recognizes a single undergraduate student for excellence in both academic performance and research potential in chemistry. Congratulations Maggie!
• Alexa Corse ’15 was part of a team of reporters at The Wall Street Journal who won a Pulitzer Prize in National Reporting for their coverage of Elon Musk. You can read their award-winning work here.  We're so proud of your hard work Alexa!
• Governor Wes Moore appointed Cathy Chen ’93 to the Circuit Court of Baltimore City.  Congratulations Cathy!
