2024-2025 Staff Council Executive Committee and Committee Chairs

Staff Council is pleased to introduce our 2024-2025 Executive Committee and Committee Chairs. These roles support Staff Council's mission to provide a forum of advocacy and outreach for all UMKC staff, to represent staff interests to the UMKC and UM System community and leadership, and to provide opportunities for recognition and professional development.

Connect with Your Colleagues: Join a Staff Council Community Group

Staff Council hosts Staff Community Groups. These groups are a great way for UMKC staff to connect with fellow Roo staff members through common interests and topics.
Our 2 current Staff Community Groups include: Parents/Caregivers (formerly New Parents, New Connections) and The Roo Tabletop Games Lounge. If you would like to create a new staff community group, please review our procedures and submit a staff community group proposal form.

Attention UMKC staff! Enjoy free Kona Ice on Aug. 7. The schedule for the day includes:
- Noon - 1:45 p.m.: Health Sciences Campus, small parking lot between School of Medicine and Health Sciences Building
- 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Volker Campus, University Walkway

Welcome Our New Roos: Attend Convocation, Staff a Roo Welcome or Residential Life Move-In Shift

We encourage UMKC faculty and staff, departments, offices, and community partners to get involved in Roo Welcome 2024. UMKC faculty and staff serve a vital role in the Roo Welcome experience. UMKC faculty and staff are essential in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our new campus community members.
Fall Roo Welcome takes place Aug. 16 - Sept. 6. Ways staff can get involved include, and are not limited to:

All are welcome at UMKC Staff Council meetings. Meetings generally occur the first Wednesday of every month (unless otherwise noted), from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in-person and via Zoom. Our Fall 2024 meeting schedule includes:
